Spanish term

bolsa de empaque

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Other
Seems obvious, but . . .

It is in the publicity of a massive retail chain with many stores in Mexico. If you use your "XXX" credit card there you get:

- 2 bolsas de empaque sin costo.

What kind of a bag would I usually have to pay for, but I get it free if I use my credit card?

agree EirTranslations : a plastic shopping bag though, like anita said, not paper ones like in the US. This is common also in the netherlands where you have to pay for thse bags. Unbelievable!

plastic bag or nothing

Just a guess.

When I went travelling in Central America I observed, that in many shops they did not give any (plastic or other) bag to put your shopping into.
Peer comment(s):

agree consue : It can be the same here in England, some supermarkets charge you for each plastic bag you use
