Spanish term

Homework / test Spanish to English Art/Literary Poetry & Literature

La traducción literal sería "The vilain heart feels capable of everything, and in the end achieves nothing", pero no estoy segura.

¡Muchas gracias!

A 'villano' here is not a villain, or vile person. He is a villein, member of a class of partially free persons under the feudal system who were serfs with respect to their lord but had the rights and privileges of freemen with respect to others.
Peer comment(s):

agree Bàrbara Planas, Ph.D. : I agree. In old Spanish a "villano" was any person born in a "villa", a small town in the fields, a hamlet.
