1 - people sitting in the bar are cheering for the poet to read them one of his pieces:
"the men around beat the table with their glasses, shouting, "Ajúa! Qué vivan las viejas!"

2 young men are leaving for a dance downtown. An elder, Ben, chuckles and says to one of them, "You have to treat ladies right..."
Al (the young) shouts, "Ajúa!"
"Vayan con Dios." Ben gave them his blessing.
