como están mis chabalones

Spanish to English Art/Literary Poetry & Literature Los Ninís
More from theh anthem of the Ninís:

Me cuadro con los menores
con los hijos del señor
**como están mis chabalones**
todo tranquilo patrón
saludan con la mirada
cuando llevan mucha prisa
son gente muy educada
que ninguno los dominan

"que ninguno los dominan" Apologies again for late contributions to this subject.
I believe you were given a flawed version of these lyrics.
The phrase above, for instance, should be "que el ego no los domina".
I found two versions: written and oral, which are coincident, and they make more sense anyway:
"Me cuadro con los menores con los hijos del patron
¿como estan mis chabalones? todo tranquilo señor
saludan con la mirada cuando llevan mucha prisa
son gente muy educada que el ego no los domina
no se olvidan de su raza y menos de quien los cuida. "

how are my boys doing?

"Chavalón" (chabalón, spelling?) would be "big boy", but it would sound odd to translate it that way, I think.

agree Helena Chavarria : I like 'How are you doing guys?'

Thanks, Helena.
agree JohnMcDove : Yes, okay with "chavalón", but this is not a question. :-) /../ If that is the case, then yes, but the way it is transcribed then is faulty...

I believe it is, John, it's just not transcribed properly. Remember, it's a set of lyrics - Q: "Cómo están mis chabalones?" A: "Todo tranquilo, patrón." Saludos!

how are you guys?

chavos, chavalos and chavalones are all expressions referring to friends or guys.

Kid, boy, youth

My guess is that it's an incorrect spelling (b/v) of 'chaval'/ chavalón.

since my guys are here

everything is quiet, boss.

There is no "question" in this line.

"Como" has not accent, so it is not a question.

Ok, if the lyrics are,

¿Cómo están mis chavalones?
Todo tranquilo, patrón.
Saludan con la mirada cuando llevan mucha prisa.

Then, "How are you my boys?" would do.

Saludos.
