Spanish term

cadena fila vista

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Ships, Sailing, Maritime Pershing yacht

I am not sure of the correct translation of the part between asterisks. I imagine this is line and/or chain (rode) attached to the anchor, which is visible as far as the top of the stem. Is that correct?

Many thanks in advance!

What Type of Rode?

All-rope rodes, most frequently used on smaller boats, require capstan-type windlasses. These are similar in appearance and operation to a sheet winch on a sailboat, the capstan hauls in the line wound around the drum. Self-tailing is a feature that prevents your line from becoming a massive pile of "spaghetti" on your deck, making it particularly useful with all-rope rodes.

I think drum is the bit sticking off the prow..I think feed is the right idea from the rode

The Spanish is though, the cadena fila [literally chain link] seen feeding into to the drum...I am not 100% sure of drum...but feed into is right..
