Spanish term

amable

Spanish to English Other Wine / Oenology / Viticulture D.O. Rioja wine
NARIZ

I only need a brief explanation. Thank you in advance.

Discussion

Victoria Porter-Burns Dec 7, 2007:
I'd say 'pleasant' fits well here too - it's very often used to describe aromas, tastes etc. isn't it? Although obviously it's a pretty 'empty' term, but then so is 'amable'
CMJ_Trans (X) Dec 7, 2007:
couldn't you do the direct route and say something like "pleasant"?

My guess.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "thank you Cinnamon and Roxana! Both answers are great but I thought gentle was the one more applicable to wine."

agree Kate Major Patience : Yep. I was tempted to answer but thought it best to leave it to someone who could justify the choice! 'pleasant' is certainly what comes to mind and is often used by wine buffs, I believe. :)
