Water based paint

Water based paint is the trade term for any paint that has a water base, opposed to oil based paint. unfortunately water paint is too easily confused with watercolour paint which this is not and wet paint is just any type of paint that is wet.

translation roughly the surface is given a second coat with a water based paint recommended by the supplier...

Sorry bit new to this system

liquid paint

Wet paint, usually the term used as a warning that a newly painted surface is not dry. However, Viachaslau is probably right to some extent. There is even a video available on the Internet with the song "Wet Paint".

Thanks, Charlotte!
disagree Sebastian Sussmann : wet paint is not a type of paint it refers to the fact that the paint isn't dry your references are a) the name of a shop (it's a pun) and b) an incorrect translation from the Swedish

as you put it 'wet paint is just any type of paint that is wet'
