stopping test
I have come across "utrullning" in automotive texts to mean "coasting" and wonder whether this might actually be a brake test to determine how long it takes the train to come to a stop. The link below gives some details of the requirements of UIC 544 and stopping distances certainly come into it. However, I'm far from certain about this terminology.

braking distance test
My suggestion based on the references I've given and my understanding of "utrullning" as explained in the reference.
I suppose "slip test" and "stopping distance test" probably also would work fine.

I think utrullning refers to the distance the vehicle continues rolling after braking.
CV 4 Bromsfördröjning: Ett något lägre värde än i CV 3 brukar vara lämpligt för att få en lagom utrullning. Denna utrullning bör ej vara för lång, eftersom det då det kan bli svårt att köra

A stopping distance test was conducted to determine the holistic effectiveness of the train braking. The test was conducted on level track, from 57.7 km/h with no brake preparation. The stopping distance was 813 metres, which is well within the specified stopping distance of 2000 metres maximum for ORELINE.
