Translation is essential in making information and ideas accessible to everyone. From foreign policy to international employment contracts, from communicating with fellow scientists to reaching as many customers as possible, translation is paramount to progress.
I am a freelance translator, reviser and editor specializing primarily in texts related to the United Nations, international relations and information technology. I also do revisions in other areas. In addition to my 2.5 years of freelance experience, I have worked nearly four years in-house in organizations such as the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) secretariat, the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) secretariat and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), a German organization that implements development projects worldwide.
After living in Germany for five years and attaining fluency in the language, I earned a Master’s degree in Translation from the University of Salford in the United Kingdom. I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems with minors in German and Business Administration from Susquehanna University in the USA. Having earned degrees both in the UK and the USA helps me in working with either variant of the English language.
Please contact me if you have any queries. I am available to work contractually from home or I can travel to work in-house or at conferences. I look forward to working with you!
