Hello, I am trying to open MemoQ (5.0.55) right now and I am getting the message below. It doesn't allow me to open old or new projects and I really need to use the program to finish a job. Does anybody else is having the same problem? I don't know if it is something with the server, since the kilgray.com page is also having problems. I am just asking because I really need to finish something urgent here. Thank you, Karina ... See more Hello, I am trying to open MemoQ (5.0.55) right now and I am getting the message below. Kilgray's support helped me with the problem. IN future, if somebody else has the same problem you can try: Go to: C:\users\username\appdata\roaming\memoQ, and delete your Projectregistry.dat file (under XP it's at C:\Documents and settings\username\Application data\memoQ). Worked for me!

Shortcut to memoQ's AppData | Feb 14, 2012 |
A quick way to get to memoQ's AppData folder is to press the Windows key (or the Start orbit) and type this in the search field: %appdata%/memoq Press Enter and there you are. I mention this because AppData is hidden by default. With this method you can get to it easily even if it's hidden.

SOURCE: mscorlib If it helps others, ---when deleting the projectregistr.dat file in AppData folder did not work ---when deleting the TermExtract.xml file in the project folder did not work: 1) One time I solved it by opening WORD > Languages > Language preferences and setting English US as DEFAULT (the target language) 2) This time I was getting that error when trying to add a term to Term Base (Control Q) How to solve it? Press "Control E" to add the term and OK. It will tell you the language settings are wrong and it will ask you if you'd like for MemoQ to fix it. I said yes. Problem solved! No more error mesages. ▲ Collapse
