Bio

My name is Pedro, I'm a freelance translator from Brazil. I also work as a proofreader, subtitler, localizer and MT post-editor.

I've been working professionally as a translator since January 2022. In that time I've worked on several projects, from subtitling series to translating scripts from documentaries, TV series and movies for posterior dubbing. I also work with translation, proofreading, and editing of texts in a variety of themes and evaluating tests for recruitment of new translators by agencies from English to Brazilian Portuguese and from Spanish to Brazilian Portuguese

I've always had a great interest for learning new languages and that's why I decided to work in the translation industry so I could put to use the knowledge that I have.

The fields I mostly worked on are legal, contracts, technical, IT, engineering, marketing and general translation. I’m also a volunteer for TWB and TED translators, where I translate texts and subtitle videos in a variety of themes.

I'm extremely versatile, quick to adapting to new work environments, methods and subjects.
