places

English Art/Literary Social Science, Sociology, Ethics, etc. Lynne Twist
Dear colleagues, I’m not sure about the meaning of "places” in the sentence “It’s one of those places where we express love.” taken from a passage about Lynne Twist. If I’m not mistaken, "place" can mean also "condition" or "situation". Might places refer to prosperity, gratitude and fulfilment?
Thank you very much for any suggestion!
*******************************

Lynne Twist being interviewed by Louie, who states this (Schwartzberg, Gratitude Revealed, 2022, February 15, minute 30, used with permission): “When you’re in touch with enough, it overflows into natural abundance, not excess, not waste, but natural abundance out of which generosity is a normal, flowing way of being because you feel totally interconnected with everyone else.” In that same film, teacher, dancer, and storyteller Luisah Teish states: “We have a lot to be grateful for. I just wish that we had enough gratitude to overcome greed and selfishness.” Gratitude, compassion, and awe are considered transcendent emotional states, ones that help us transcend the solo-self and that may bring us to the plane of possibility; that space of being aware where new options are waiting for us – and where we find our deep connections with one another. As Twist continues: “When you are in touch with generosity, you are in touch with the eternal. Every time we tap into the eternal, to the sacred, it’s timeless, time actually stops. Don’t insult Creation with your human arrogance, be grateful for the miracle that is your life. That’s the source of generosity, of prosperity, of gratitude, and of fulfilment. *** It’s one of those places where we express love. *** And there’s nothing quite like love because that’s what it is all about.”

My opinion, PLACES, the emotional sate when a person is aware of the Mystery of the Eternal,, aware of Love, perhaps Rabbi Hillel, and Jesus, Leviticus 19:18 where we are told to “Love thy neighbor as thyself.”
Others often come to conclusion very little is certain or proven, only Love, many beliefs are politely called Constructs, quote from Rumi “I belong to no religion. My religion is love. Every heart is my temple.”

Place, has taken on a special meaning in popular psychology, a dark place, as an example https://medium.com/the-ascent/it-takes-everything-youve-got-...

Emotional states

Hi Haribert!
In the context of the sentence, “Itʼs one of those places where we express love,” I believe that the use of the word “places” suggests that love can be expressed through various experiences and emotions rather than being limited to a concrete location. These keywords are explicitly stated in the passages related to the provided content, meaning that the terms “occasions,” “experiences,” “situations,” and “moments” could convey the same meaning for this situation.

In this case, instead of using the term "places," you could use any of the terms mentioned in the explanation, such as "occasions," "experiences," "situations," "moments," and other similar terms, to describe a state of mind or emotional state.
Example sentence:

Cooking with the people I love is one of the places where I feel the most joy and happiness.
