English to Spanish: Biosynthesis of glucocorticoids General field: Medical
Source text - English Biosynthesis of glucocorticoids
Pregnenolone is formed from cholesterol (CH) by side-chain cleavage catalysed by the desmolase enzyme system. CH is mainly transported in the blood in low density lipoprotein (LDL). The LDL consists of an inner hydrophobic core of CH esters and triglyceride, surrounded by a monolayer of polar phospholipid and apoproteins. One of the apoproteins, apolipoprotein-E (APO-E), binds to receptors (LP receptors) on the plasma membrane of the adrenal cell, resulting in an ACTH-stimulated transport of CH into the cell. This sequence of actions is termed the LDL receptor pathway.
Translation - Spanish Biosíntesis de los glucocorticosteroides

Master's degree - Universitat Jaume I (Spain)
Experience
Years of experience: 11. Registered at ProZ.com: Oct 2015.
I have been a languages lover since I was a child. During primary and high school, I discovered that languages and cultures were my cup of tea so I decided to study the degree "Translation and Intercultural Communication".
Over those years at university, I gained intercultural experience by studying and working abroad (France, UK, Italy and Canada). Also, I got the title of "Expert in cultural patterns and contemporary society" to be able to better understand the source texts not only through the language, but also through the culture.
I am an English and French > Spanish translator specialised in medical, IT, audiovisual, marketing, and advertising (transcreation). I am very productive and always meet the deadlines
I have worked as a translator, but also as a Project Manager and Spanish as a Foreign Language teacher, which has given me the competence of working in teams, under stress and meeting deadlines.
If you have any questions or need more information, please do not hesitate to write me.
