Source text - English Middle (ca.1100-1500) Plastic is a theather performance with acting, singing and video.
Plastic is the story of three women near to a life colapse, nevertheless their lifes are not nesesarilly diferent from ours. Each of them represents a very important factor our era: “ The image”. This image which is turned even more important than the personality self. They live in a World which doesn´t care about the “goodness” of the subject, his work or dedication to an ideal or family. You need something else, you need to look young, good and even perfect in any circunstance until the subject: this women are reducted to their mere bild.
Josefina, Elisabet and Violett are the protagonists of this story, they drop their cases on the scenary where reality and fantasy, or better, woman and doll show their ambitions, frustrations, dreams, wishes and lies.
Life goes on and what remains are 3 women turned into dolls.
Translation - Spanish Plástico es un espectáculo teatral en el que se integran la actuación, el canto y las artes visuales.
Es la historia de tres mujeres al borde del colapso. Sus vidas no se diferencian sustancialmente de las nuestras, sin embargo representan un fenómeno de extraordinaria significación en nuestros tiempos:
“la imagen“. La imagen en términos de aquella proyección virtualmente humana, que pretende ser aún mas importante que el individuo mismo y su personalidad. Esa imágen que al convertirse en un fín en si misma, acaba por reducir al ser humano a su mero y vacío reflejo.
Josefina, Elisabeth y Violeta son las protagonistas de esta historia. Ellas representan casos diferentes donde la realidad y la fantasía, o mejor, la mujer y la muñeca, despliegan sus ambiciones, frustraciones, sueños y deseos, sus engaños y mentiras. La vida sigue, el tiempo pasa y lo que queda son 3 mujeres convertidas en muñecas.
