Bio
First and foremost I am passionate about languages. I am Giulia, an Italian freelance translator (EN ES > IT pairs), proofreader and transcriptionist, with a genuine passion for travelling and exploring. I am a traveller at heart. I’ve had the great opportunity to participate in many cultural exchange programs, living with local families and having a great time with them.
I could live a multitude of unique life experiences and consolidate and deepen my knowledge of languages. Based on these assumptions I’ve decided to create my own trade: translator of tourism-related texts. A field that fascinates me.
The reason why I would like to work in the tourism industry and in the translation industry is to be researched in my past studies, when choosing to study languages I started to walk the path of multiculturalism, every community around the world, every country has stunning treasures to share with other, from different cultures and countries, guiding other and help them to truly explore the potential of nature, history and art around the world is a privilege few have and I’d love to achieve.
Another passion of mine is reading. I love reading all types of stuff like magazines, newspapers, books, and a lot of articles , and I think this is a key feature in a translator: the importance of knowing perfectly the native language to acquire the ability to transfer style, tone and cultural elements accurately from one language to another.
Areas of expertise: travels, tourism, art ,culture, yoga and animals.
Specialties: quality, accuracy and deadlines respect, problem solving, motivate, self starter, quick learner, goal driven.
I always complete my work on time, to a very high standard.
