English to Spanish: A snail´s memoirs General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Poetry & Literature
Source text - English I´m a garden snail, also known as a common snail. I’m one of those with a dark green body and a brown shell. In that sense, I’m a gastropod, since I creep on my stomach (or at least, what it’s been convened to be called as such), and a mollusc, as far as I’m an invertebrate, a triploblastic coelom creature, bilaterally symmetrical, non-segmented, with a soft body and protected by a shell. This might be a rather accurate description of myself regarding, let’s say, the typology of my kind. As for the taxonomy, I guess you could say I belong to the so-called group of the Helix Aspersa, although sometimes I don’t identify with my kind, but this is a whole different matter. Once made the presentations, there’s not much left to be said about myself, except perhaps my name, but it so happens that last time I had a look at the registry, we were a few millions sharing the same name and surname. If we add the fact that nature wanted me to be hermaphrodite, it becomes even harder to find a name that fits both my feminine and masculine side. I don’t want to start an unnecessary discussion on this matter, so let’s simply say that I’m a common snail/snailess that lives in a garden/gardenette.
Swedish to Spanish: Raskrigaren General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Poetry & Literature
Translation - Spanish Hoy sería el día.
