Having been born in Estonia, I am native speaker of English. I studied medicine in both countries and worked in the UK for over 10 years (as a hospital doctor and then as a scientific researcher). This has given me a perfectly native command of both English and Estonian medical terminology. I have recently returned to Estonia, and I enjoy continuing with part-time translations, which I have done for over 20 years.

 I have a deep understanding of the medical and scientific cultural nuances associated with both languages (incl. their idiomatic expressions and context-specific references) to deliver accurate, effective and culturally appropriate translations. My in-depth knowledge and understanding of the medico-scientific subject matter also means I can quickly synthesise suggestions from reliable resources (incl. online dictionaries, glossaries, and terminology databases) should I need to acquaint myself with any concepts or terms that may initially be unfamiliar with me in either language.

Rates: - 0.05-0.07 EUR per source word of translating - 30 EUR per hour - minimum fee of 25 EUR. I use Trados and Wordfast and can learn new programs if required.
