Bio
I'm 55 years old, I have a 18 years old son, and I'm presently a single. I currently teach as a University Lecturer of French-mother-tongue at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", but my father is Italian, I lived in Italy for 40 years and I've got a "Maturità Classica" (a sort of A-level in Italian Litterature) and a "Licence d'Italien" (Bachelor degree in Italian at the Sorbonne University of Paris), so I'm biligual French/Italian.
My basic activity at the university is: translation teacher from French into Italian and from Italian into French, and from English into both of my mother/father tongues (25 years of experience). I've been also a Teaching assistant of Italian at the University of Illinois (USA) in 1984.
I made several translations for various public institutions (Italian Ministry of Equal Opportunities, Ministry for the E.U. relationships, Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri,Tibunal of Rome, other italian universities), and for private big editors (I've edited, with some collaborators, the Garzanti's French-Italian dictionary, in 1992, and some books for Einaudi and Mondadori, and collaborated with some lawyers companies and some french newspapers.
The studies I've done:5 years at the french Lycée Chateaubriand in Rome;
8 years at the Liceo Classico T.Tasso in Rome, Maturità Classica (june 1979); 4 years at the Sorbonne university of Paris: Maitrise ès Lettres Modernes (Paris IV, France).
I also attended many trainings ("Stages") at the E.U. (C.E., D.G.X"Action Culturelle et Audiovisuel" - 1985 + "Le Français et l'Europe", specialization on E.U. institutions for French teachers, at the E.C. and E.P. - 1995) and I've got an Internet university diploma in 2002.
I have some professional affiliations, or memberships: Associazione Italiana Traduttori e Interpreti (AITI), Associazione Nazionale Interpreti e Traduttori (ANITI), American Translators Association (ATA). Albo Periti Interpreti e Traduttori, Albo Periti ed Interpreti del Tribunale Penale di Roma (I'm an official translator and interpreter for the Tribunal of Rome).
I wrote many litterary articles published by specialized editors.
I travel very often for professional reasons, and also for pleasure. Places where I spent most of that time: France (at least 3 times a year for 15/390 days), Scotland, Ireland and mostly England (my grand-mother was english, I go there every summer), USA (Illinois, 2 + 6 months in 1980-1984, and New-York), Belgium, Austria (my brother lives there since 12 years), Germany, Greece, Nederlands, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Spain,Tunisia, Israel, Egypt, Senegal.

So, I'm interested on international relationships and projects.
You can contact me directly at my e-mail address: [email protected],
for any kind of collaboration concerning tranlations, interpretations, teaching, editing, rewriting.

Thank-you in advance for your interest.
