SDL Trados 2007 is the world’s most popular computer aided translation (CAT) and project management solution for the translation professional.

The SDL Trados Certification program enables individual translators and translation teams to progressively increase their knowledge and expertise through attendance on a series of 3 training courses. Each of the training courses leads to a level of certification – culminating in the final Level 3 Advanced Certification. Every level of certification is achieved by passing an exam which demonstrates the level of competence attained. [/i]


Learning Objectives:
This online course is essential for any translator who is considering or has purchased SDL Trados 2007.
Over 3 hours it will take you through the key features of setting up and using Translator’s Workbench, TagEditor and SDL MultiTerm.

On completion of this course you will:

• Start to increase your productivity with Translator’s Workbench
• Effectively use the MultiTerm powerful term management tool
• Enhance your work rate by understanding the power of TagEditor
• Be trained to set up and use Translator’s Workbench, TagEditor and SDL Mutliterm

Target Audience:
Anyone involved in using SDL Trados 2007 for translation.

Prerequisites:
This course is for SDL Trados novices there are no prerequisites to attending it.

Before sitting your SDL TRADOS Certification exam Level 1, we strongly recommend that you review the Translator’s Workbench Getting Started training manual. How do I purchase my spot?

To purchase your seat at this session please click on the "buy" button. Available slots are limited and will be assigned to registered and paid participants as soon as payment is reported. Early payment is advised in order to secure participation. Allow some time for payment processing if you are paying by wire transfer.

After your payment is received, your status will be changed to “registered and paid” and your spot for the session will be secured. An invoice and receipt of payment will be sent to you for your records.

How do I get pre-training material?:

The course materials and exams will be placed in your "My Account" at SDL.

Please go to https://oos.sdl.com/asp/products/ssl/account/ and create your account or log in if you already have an account. Go to 'My Account' area and access the Certification page, you will find the training course manual below your exams for you to download.

IMPORTANT: Make sure you use the same contact information - name and email- you entered in your ProZ.com profile to allow identification.

In paying for SDL Trados training via ProZ.com, the trainee agrees to provide SDL Trados with the email address on file in their ProZ.com account, to which training material and certification exams will be sent.

How do I access the online platform?

72 hours before the training session takes place, you will receive an invitation to join the session. Please, click the registration link or button provided in the invitation email and complete the registration form.

How do I take SDL Certification Test after I completed this training?

There needs to be a minimum of 6 students to conduct this training session. If the minimum students is not reached 72 hours before the session is to take place, you will be notified and asked to book your seat in an upcoming session without extra cost or transaction from your part.

Participants should not delay in making payments to ensure classes are not canceled due to low enrollment. We suggest then you purchase your spot as soon as possible.

IMPORTANT:You do not need to have the software installed on your machine, the software features will be presented via the trainer’s machine.

Recommendations:

•You need an internet connection and a separate telephone, so that we can talk to you whilst presenting the training.
• For the visual section of the training course, we recommend that you have a 64kbps link. This means using an ISDN line or Broadband.
• For the audio section of the training course, we recommend that you have a telephone headset or hands-free speaker phone.
• We recommend that you log in 30 minutes in advance of the start time to prepare for the training course.
• Please mute your phone during the training course to ensure that there is no background noise during the audio section.
