Bio

Working experience
I have been active as a freelance translator since the beginning of 2014. My specialization is, by virtue of education, is Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and mechanical engineering. In those fields I have translated various types of documents.
Besides the above mentioned specializations I am well versed in the following fields mainly through personal interest or working experience unrelated to translation.

Between 2003 and 2021 I was been employed as a cost engineer in the field of technical building systems and building management systems at 3 different companies. In this role I was responsible for the design and engineering, as well as the cost and retail price, of projects in various types of buildings.
Additional responsibilities include the assessment of tender documents and supplier quotations, maintaining supplier and costumer relations and acquisition.

In 2014 I decided to become a part-time freelance translator alongside my daily job. Because the amount of translation work grew over the years, I quit my daily job in July 2021 and I have been a full-time translator ever since.

Working method
A swift response to a job offer. After receiving the source files I immediate check for unclear or troublesome parts. Unclear or troublesome parts are resolved by contacting and discussing them with the client.
Clients can rely on a consistent style, customer-specific vocabulary, thorough spell checking and delivery on or ahead of the deadline.
