Ces recommandations se limitent au volet clinique du thème : l’action sur le milieu et l’organisation du travail est exclue du champ de ces recommandations. Elle est néanmoins indispensable dans une démarche de prévention du burnout.
Cette fiche mémo porte sur la définition du syndrome d’épuisement professionnel, son repérage, sa prise en charge et l’accompagnement des patients lors de leur retour au travail. Puede afectar a cualquier trabajador, pero es especialmente frecuente entre los médicos, el personal sanitario y otras profesiones con gran carga emocional y que exigen un fuerte compromiso personal, así como en deportistas de élite sometidos de forma prolongada a intensos entrenamientos y que no perciben la suficiente recompensa. Se manifiesta por sentimientos de impotencia con cansancio, agotamiento, depresión, insatisfacción, irritabilidad y una actitud cínica o suspicaz, a los que pueden sumarse múltiples molestias físicas: insomnio, cefaleas, mareos, mialgias, trastornos digestivos, infecciones, trastornos respiratorios, circulatorios y digestivos.
