Dear colleagues of French and German,

French and German poets are presenting their mutual translations of themselves at the Poesie Festival Berlin 2011.

This is one of the biggest festivals of the kind in Europe and always puts a great emphasis on translation and translators, as each foreign poet is usually presented along with his translator.

The whole thing is cleverly called 'versschmuggel' = roughly smuggling of verses.

There is a similar thing for german/spanish.
