Dear all,

I have a client who's having trouble making a Paypal payment to me with their American Express card. Although Paypal allegedly accepts American Express, they're getting the message that this type of card cannot be used for the payment.

Has anybody else had this problem and know what the restrictions actually are? (Yes, I'll probably ask Paypal support, but I just fear I may die before I get a response...)

And, can anyone recommend a more reliable ... See more

Contact PayPal via phone rather than email Feb 9, 2010

You're better off calling PayPal than emailing. Through email you might get a canned response and feel like banging your head on the wall but the phone support is pretty decent (at least it has been for me).

I wonder if PayPal still accepts AE Feb 9, 2010

No harm in asking but I suspect they must have stopped accepting AE.
