Where can I sue an agency in the Czech Republic?

Hi all,

The PM that contacted me to do the translation has left the company. Other PMs have tried to find the cause for the payment delay (two months and a half) and they've found out that the company has a dispute regarding the contract with their direct customer. It's not that they don't have the money, I was told via Skype, but that they're waiting to solve their own issue with the original requestor of the translation.

The PM that contacted me to do the translation has left the company. It's not that they don't have the money, I was told via Skype, but that they're waiting to solve their own issue with the original requestor of the translation.

However, the last two entries in the Blue Board are of 1 point (entered recently, after I accepted the job). The translators entering such rating explain that they refused to pay arguing that the translations were of bad quality. This does not seem to be my case, but I now doubt about they grounds for the payment delay.

Anyway, I am not supposed to be involved in issues concerning their deals with their direct customer, and want to claim for my payment. I've read in this forum that other people have succeeded by presenting their claim before a court of "small claims" in England. Is there something of the kind in the Czech Republic?

Hello Karina,

I doubt we have a court of "small claims" in the Czech Republic which would be able to solve disputes quickly. As far as I know our courts work slowly - my intention is not to criticise our system - but it is how the things are here.
