Hello everyone

In Word 2016, how can I add a shortcut that will reject the currently selected revision, but NOT then automatically move to the next revision? In Word 2003, rejecting a revision does not cause the cursor to move away from its current position, which is very useful since any additional editing often takes place at the same position in the file.

Automatically moving the cursor to the next revision is stupid (unless you know of a way to get the cursor back to the original position using another shortcut, I guess).

Samuel

PS. In the mean time I found that pressing Undo and then Redo puts the cursor where it should be, but that adds to shortcuts to press for every revision.

Accept drop down options May 17, 2018

Click on the “accept” drop down options where you will find “accept and move to next” or simply “accept change”.
A click right on your mouse might give you this option too, I am not at my desk at the moment, so I am unable to check.

I haven't tried this but how about recording a macro and assigning the shortcut to the macro?

In Word 2016 go to Word Options → Customize Ribbon → Keyboard shortcuts: Customize → Categories → Scroll down to select All Commands → Select "AcceptChangesSelected" or "RejectChangesSelected" and then specify your keyboard sequence and press Assign button below

Thanks. How weird that the option RejectChangesSelected is only available when you select "All Commands" and not when you select the "Review Tab" subcategory.
