How can I enable the capability that asks me before deleting files, in Word. ¨Are you sure that you want to delete xxx.doc?¨ I use Word 2000 and Windows 98.

How do I prevent accidental deletions? Oct 16, 2007

I have accidentally deleted some files. I hope that with that capability I will be warned before deleting my files.

This is standard Windows function Oct 16, 2007

Before you delete a file, a security message appears - always in my system.
Check your recycle bin or go to http://www.pcinspector.de/, download the free tool offered there and try to restore your files. With some luck you might be able to get 'em all or nearly all back.
