Das Wasser in der Bucht vor Mahajanga hier ist in dieser Zeit rot von der Erde.
Speziell die Bodenerosion bekaempft ein von der deutschen kfW finanziertes Projekt namens PLAE - "Projet de Lutte Anti-Erosion", also "Projekt fuer den Kampf gegen die Bodenerosion".
