brasseur d'avenir

French to English Marketing General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters

Indeed, xxx launched the online game « Become a brasseur d’avenir: winners will harvest the hop in Northern France before to share the future Country Beer with the mobilized community during sparkling tasting reception. Along with that, xxx controls the community management via Facebook’s dedicated page and via Étienne and Coralie’s blog, especially created for the operation.

Discussion

Michael GREEN Feb 14, 2013:
Editing? If the rest of the translation is like this, it needs to be entirely re-written.
EA Traduction (asker) Feb 13, 2013:
Yes, this is going to be edited.
John Holland Feb 13, 2013:
Agree with Carol If this translation is going to be used by the company, it would be good to have it edited by a native speaker.
Carol Gullidge Feb 13, 2013:
some errors Is this going to be edited? The translation needs some reworking, notably "harvest the hop", "the mobilized community ", "during sparkling tasting reception" and "before to share", which are all unidiomatic :((

Successful brewer

Avoir de l'avenir in French has less to do with the future than with success. When you say that so-and so has "de l'avenir", you mean that you believe he is going to be successful. Un garçon d'avenir is a young man on his way to be successful.
