English term
own vs. possess
English to Portuguese
Law/Patents
Real Estate
Human rights
Right to own – the right to do anything to property which is yours, including sell it, use it, rent it, give it away, etc
Right to possess – the right to keep, use and manage someone else’s property, but not to sell it or give it away.

Discussion
"The right to enjoyment asserts the titleholder’s right to participate in any activities that they find pleasurable while on the property. This assumes, once again, that those activities are lawful."
Right of possess: direito real de gozo
Quanto ao 3.º direito concordo com a Teresa.
Consulte a IATE.
Right to own – the right to do anything to property which is yours, including sell it, use it, rent it, give it away, etc
Right to possess – the right to keep, use and manage someone else’s property, but not to sell it or give it away. For example, a person living in someone else’s house and paying rent does not own it but has the right to live in it and control the house.
Right to use – a person may not own the property or have the right to keep it, but they may have the right to use it. For example, a person renting a house does not own it, but can live in it.
