When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Flávia, Se for entrar este termo no glossário, sugiro adicionar a grafia aportuguesada: ateliê. Algo assim: atelier/ateliê de doces. Veja https://www.aulete.com.br/ateliê

You haven't given the context, but this is not normally associated with the rich and famous. It's just another term for patisserie as far as I can see.

confectionery atelier

There are many options for this translation, I like this one because I think the terms would appeal to rich and famous people, who would be familiar with them.

😁 thanks!
neutral philgoddard : I don't disagree with this, but I think it sounds a bit pretentious to use a French word, atelier, where there are perfectly good English ones like studio and workshop.

agree Oliver Simões : Or "confectioner's atelier". I don't see anything wrong with "atelier". It is listed in English dictionaries (e.g. Merriam-Webster & Cambridge), one of the estimated 35-65% of French words that made their way into English. See https://n9.cl/vljj9

Patisserie

cake shop, pastry shop

Se o foco da loja for bolos de casamento, como parece ser comum, diria cake shop, ou boutique cake shop. Se não for só bolos, pastry shop
