exemplarite de de l'encadrement

Non-PRO French to English Bus/Financial Human Resources Wotkplace safety
Part of a document on addressing work safety from a human perspective. Contextually this seems to have a positive sense, i.e. (setting a) good example by management.

--exemplarite de l'encadrement

not necessarily management

"Management" brings to my mind pictures of beshirted, betied and besuited fatcats sitting on their bums in comfy office chairs. With "encadrement", especially in this context, I see "supervisors/foremen" etc. in the field, getting their hands dirty alongside the workers whose work they are overseeing. Some of my customers insist heavily on the "exemplarité" of role-model workers who are elevated to honorific positions in a number of intra-company "guilds" - people who are never late for work, don't fight on site (or elsewhere), do their jobs well, efficiently, etc., take the time to assist others in their work, get pleasure out of passing on their knowledge to others, etc.

Site workers have nothing to learn from \"management\", have nothing in common with them. They won\'t even know if \"management\" forgoes its business lunch washed down with ample fine wine to get on with the job in hand instead. But he\'ll know if his foreman finishes the job before downing tools for lunch and drinks water rather than beer.
