English term

drum

English to French Tech/Engineering Engineering (general)
Bonjour,

Est ce qu'on peut utiliser tambour pour drum dans le contexte ci-dessous.

Cordialement,
-----------------
Drums/Pulleys
A drum consists of a shell or outer casing which revolves around a stationary magnetic body located in approximately one half of the drum inner. The drum is normally fed from above and the magnets are in a position that enables the iron parts to be released from the magnetic field later than the normal gravitational flow of the product. A pulley by contrast, has a full magnetic core and is usually incorporated as part of the conveyor belt.
Drum separators can be built into a housing where this is dictated by the types and quality of product being processed and cascade arrays can be built where the sorting involves very fine particles or a very large throughput of material.
A partition is often stationed beneath the magnetic field to capture the separated ferrous material from the product. Most diameters can be designed and produced.
Uses: food industry: waste; mining/quarrying; foundries; glass production; wood.
