English term

location

English to German Marketing Advertising / Public Relations
hm, watch this now: it's an entry in a telephone enquiries service directory and the lad asks what information about his company is givven to the custommer. And then the gal replies: "your location via SMS or e-mail". Now, what kind of location? that lad's company's location or the location where he is at that moment, or some other location? and what's that "vie SMS or email?" and is there a german term for such a service? Thanks!

Kontaktdetails/-angaben

your location via SMS = how you can be texted (reached by SMS). In other words they're referring to your mobile number (the number at which you can be contacted by SMS)

your location via e-mail = how you can be reached by email. IOW, they mean your email address.

There might be a better German term, but I reckon that's the meaning.
