26/104 knees (25%) - Lateral cortex fractures (19 type I, 5 type II, and 2 type III. No complications were seen in 19 patients with type I fractures. Of 5 patients with type II fractures, 2 had delayed unions with a correction loss of 3° and 7°, respectively.)

1 (1%) - Saphenous nerve palsy / traumatic neuroma
2 – deaths (1 died of old age 3 years after OWHTO and the other died of myocardial infarction 3 months after OWHTO).
1 - subcutaneous tissue infection
1 – lateral tibial plateau fracture
11 - mild pain around the pes anserinus (until plate removed). (1 – death; 2 years after surgery)
