My last question concerns the word "Navigateur", it seems that we both can use "Navigator" and "browser", which one of these two is the most suitable, keeping in mind that the source document contains forms such as "INavigationListenerlmpl" or "Navigator.getNavigator" etc.

I've come across this problem too. I think you've answered the question yourself really by quoting the function names. To use 'browser' would needlessly and perhaps confusingly add another term.

Browser
When taking about software to surf/browse the Internet, the English word is Browser and never Navigator. Even the web browser called "Netscape Navigator" is still a browser, not a "navigator".
We even talk about "off-line browsing" when it's not on the Internet.
I think you would be safer with Browser.

: The word "browser" is of course used talking about surfing the net. But here they are documenting code having function and object names like "INavigationListenerlmpl" or "Navigator.getNavigator" so switching to "browser" could be needlessly distracting.

my solution
I would keep navigator as suggested, but add a translation note that outside of the code examples, the French word "navigator" translates as "browser." I think this solution offers the clearest explanation of all.
I am against not translating words without offering any explanation and relying on the reader to properly know what everything translates to, even in cases of what we would presume are basic bilingual words/computer terms.

for code-related, YES "Navigator" is the right selection, for internet "navigateur" is a "browser"!!
