Discussion

Stephen Rifkind (asker) Apr 27, 2007:
No context This is the exact problem I am having. It is an isolated slide on business consulting. I have asked the client for clarification of the context because both individual and retail customers could make sense.
Béatrice Huret-Morton Apr 27, 2007:
S'agit-il d'une banque ?

target, specific clientele / personal clientele

you'll have to decide if personal or specific, depending on the rest of context, I think it is target clientele

And use it as an adjective before "market share".

Alternatively, in some contexts (e.g. automobiles, banking) where the other clienteles are entreprises, réseaux, etc., it could be "retail".
Peer comment(s):

agree Marc Glinert : Hi Bob - these things are very much sector specific 'though. In the insurance sector (UK, at least) this would be personal customers.

S'il s'agit d'une banque, c'est généralement l'expression utilisée.
