German term

Spritzgerät für gefüllte Massen

German to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering Paint application
From a paint data sheet in the section describing how to apply the paint:

====
Faserverstärkte, elastifiziete Siliconharz-Fassadenfarbe zur dauerhaften Überbrückung von Netz- und Haarrissen auf mineralischen Untergründen.
....
Zu verarbeiten mit Pinsel, Bürste, Rolle, Glättkelle oder ***Spritzgerät für gefüllte Massen***.
====

The closest I've got is a listing in Freedic for "füllen=to pigment" and there are a few references here for "Füller-" here that mention "priming" in the context of painting, but quite how this all fits together I'm not sure! "spraying device for pigmented compounds" doesn't sound very likely!

Thanks in advance for your inspiration!

Discussion

Languageman (asker) May 19, 2007:
I checked this with the customer, and they confirmed Teresa´s suspicions: " 'gefüllte Massen' kann mit "faserverstärkte Farben" übersetzt werden". I used 'fibre-reinforced paint'. Cheers both.
Teresa Reinhardt May 15, 2007:
Context indicates that this qualifies the tool; "gefüllt" definitely indicates (here: high[er]) amount of pigments; more viscous fluids require different types of pumps = special spraying equipment; I'd check w/client

German term (edited): für gefüllte Massen

for filled areas

if it's referring to the surface and not the compound that's being sprayed

The "gefüllte Massen" could be the holes in the surface which have been filled with Polyfilla or whatever

A possibility at least
Note from asker:
That does seem sensible: not a special type of Spritzgerät, rather an instruction to use one. Seems fairly obvious now!
