Wow!! James, Tania, Patricia, Cecilia and GAR (not necessarily in any order of precedence) I truly do not know how to thank all of you for your support in this challenging translation. I ended up translating it as "electronic banking request" and I sure hope it's right as I have already consigned the work. This was certainly a "interesting" project for me. Cecilia is right about RIBA not being a bank transfer, I was too hasty with my agree - according to Codeluppi it's translated as 'cash order' or 'collection order'. Otherwise my understanding is 60 days from the end of the month in which the invoice is

you must pay on March 31st, that is at the end of the month. I don't know if that's clear enough, RIBA are not used in international trade, they are a peculiarity of the Italian bank system. In some ways they are similar to the French "LCR".

So this REBA is.. really like our personal electronic "bill payment service" wherein we can issue bank drafts on a specific date.. I am still really confused about the payment terms..60 days after the end of the month that the invoice is dated on? So if I date an invoice Dec 10 the payment is due 60 days after December 30 on March 2? This is really weird guys I am sorry to sound so dense but I am used to the "standard 30 days from date on invoice" (invoice is dated Dec.10, money is due Jan 10) terms..please confirm that I am understanding this right..and Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o)

RIBA dovrebbe stare per "rimessa bancaria", se ti può aiutare, quindi "bank transfer" come siggerisce GAR. Ciao

Its *one* of the automatic direct debit systems. One of my customers told me that if I used it through my bank, my customer could pay me on presentation of my invoice to my bank, .... errr or something like that.
