Italian term

bobina elettrofreno

Italian to English Other Mechanics / Mech Engineering
Some time ago I asked for your help translating the term "bobina elettrotreno", see the following post:
http://www.proz.com/kudoz/italian_to_english/mechanics_mech_...
I've just heard that the client had made a mistake and it should have been "bobina elettrofreno"!
The full phrase is thus: "Contattore principale difettoso, **bobina elettrotreno** difettosa". Any ideas? Thanks, Sarah.
Proposed translations (English)

Discussion

Sarah Gregg (asker) Jul 14, 2010:
Unfortunately I have no other context, just a list of alarm strings to translate, but I should think it must be a ride-on machine...
Mr Murray (X) Jul 13, 2010:
Sorry to bother you... But is it the ride on type?
Sarah Gregg (asker) Jul 13, 2010:
Sorry, I should have given more context from the original post, but I had a precarious connection... no, it's for a motorised floor washer.
Mr Murray (X) Jul 13, 2010:
Clarification Is this for car parts?
Sarah Gregg (asker) Jul 13, 2010:
Sorry, the client's not the only one to make mistakes. The phrase should obviously be: "Contattore principale difettoso, **bobina elettrofreno** difettosa".

agree Mr Murray (X) : I'm not sure where a coil would be in a brake contactor (switch) - but it's the best bet here based on a literal translation
