lessons on/for achieving correct self-defense (fighting) stance and posture

---------

może zamiast "correct", właściwsze będzie "decisive"?

--------

My legs were spread outward while I had readjusted my footing toward the orc in order to force myself into a decisive defensive stance

---------

The woman turned around but didn't attack. She didn't even take a decisive defensive stance, but just babbled on about the usual nonsense ...

[firmly] defensive posture courses

courses [allowing the firmly] defensive posture/gesture

Thanks. I do rely on your experience, so maybe I exaggerated a bit

train to maintain/adopt a (coordinated) defensive stance

Or: Training to maintain a deliberate / firm self-defence stance / position) (if we really have to have "zdecydowana" here).

I feel one option, or even two, limit the Asker a bit, surprised why there aren't more suggestions here.

I have researched the topic and did quite some Kung-Fu training in the past so I do identify with this.
I do think stance/stances in this context sound/s better than static "posture" and "coordinated" is a good option too, as balance and stability are required on the part of the person training.
