Russian term

проголосовать обеими руками

Russian to English Other Idioms / Maxims / Sayings politics
Я полагаю, что все это завершится успешно, Россия пройдет этот этап, политики, завершая свою дискуссию, проголосуют обеими руками “за”.

Does this have the connotation of fraudulent voting (as in Walter Mondale's famous quip, "vote early and often"), or does it just mean that people will vote enthusiastically for something, in this case Eurasian integration? The speaker is rather ironic.

Thanks in advance!

It's more of "fully support" or "fully agree," but it does imply a certain enthusiasm.

Thank you, Angela.
neutral Leonid K.U. : Hardly so. Hands down: "easy, w/out effort and/or w/out question", whereas To vote "with both hands" means enthusiastically + with full support.
