We Galapagans won't let/allow that to happen
...que se dé, a very common structure in Chilean Spanish.

: wrong tense // Interesting. I'll look that up when I have more time. I wonder why my English teachers in the U.S. never mentioned "moods"...

You mean wrong mood. The imperative is a mood, not a tense.

we Galapaguenos won't allow that to happen (until...)
Sounds a bit odd to the English ear 'our Galapaguenos' -- and then 'we won't allow' (to fit with the 'until', rather than 'we don't allow'...) But this seems like the sense of it...

we Galapagans mustn't permit this to happen
OR:
cannot permit this to happen
OR:
We, the people of the Galapagos [Islands]....{to avoid "Galapagans"}
See references for "Galapagans".
Suerte.

The first person plural hortatory imperative is used here. Thus the communication is an exhortation (we must not//we should not) and not a statement of negation.

Thus, the definitive "we will not//we won't" would not be appropriate here.
