El siguiente es un extracto de un documento relacionado con desarrollo infantil:
Los niños tienen la capacidad de pensar críticamente y omitir sus propios juicios de valor, se les debe tratar como seres humanos que tiene su propia voz.
My try:
Children develop critical thinking skills and they omit their own value judgements. They must be treated like human beings who have the right to express themselves.

with a voice of their own
This sounds more natural to me. Also because "voz" is singular here, otherwise it would be "voces" and "voices"
Example sentence:
It represents a new departure in the activities supported by the Government of Turkey and UNICEF with a view to ensuring that children have a voice of their own

Spanish term (edited):

who have their own distinct points of view
I find the singular "voice" unsuitable here (since it absurdly suggests some sort of collective "children's point of view). The plural "voices" is simply awkward. Furthermore, "voces" here is not intended as literal here, and therefore does not require translation by the English "voice(s)."
