Changing the category I don't know how you can do it but an admin can surely do it for you. Could someone else click on Vote for PRO? I believe you need at least two votes.

Mustafa rules I've known Ozdemir's Erdogan's version for years, as well as Bulent Ersoy's and Sezen Aksu's. Only this week I was roaming YouTube and came across two different versions by Mustafa Sagyasar. Now I need to find out *how* to change the category (I am returning to proz after seven years...)

I do not think this could be precisely translated only with a dictionary as it has lots of literary elements.BTW, listen to it sung by Mustafa Sagyasar, you'll love it. My sincere support about changing the category to PRO.

It's just that it IS a folk song. Translating poetry is a difficult task in general, and in folk music, you have a lot of filler lines that just don't translate properly. But that's just my opinion. I offered a rough translation below.

Maybe I was mistaken My assumption was that bilingual people would be able to resolve. I did seek professional help with Ottoman-era poetry (not on proz), but this is supposed to be a pretty popular folk song. Any context on why the difficulty?

Oh boy I am anxious to see what people are going to write. On an unrelated note, I voted for changing the category to PRO, since this question "cannot be answered by any bilingual person with the aid of a dictionary" as the rule states.
