Font and size problem in TagEditor Thread poster: Albana Dhimitri

Hi all, I am in the middle of a translation in TagEditor. It' s a quite large project so, I have already created a considerably helpful TM. But, I am having a problem as, when the translator workbench finds a 100% match and drops it automatically in TagEditor, the style and size of the letters is different (not matching those of the source text). So, I have to do a lot additional copy-paste work which is very time-consuming. Thanks a lot for your attention... See more Hi all, I am in the middle of a translation in TagEditor. As far as I know, I think there is an option in Trados workbench to change font and size of the TM. | | | Albana Dhimitri Greece Local time: 22:56 Greek to Albanian + ... TOPIC STARTER
Thanks a lot for your help. I will search for it. Have a nice Sunday! | | |
Hi Albana, don't worry about fonts and font sizes in TE. It is the surrounding tags that determine the layout of the final document, not the font or font size themselves. So, you don't have to copy-paste anything. Just let Workbench do its job.

If I understand right, you are getting different fonts in the target segments of Tag Editor, not in the translated document. In that case, it doesn't matter what it looks like because the tags define font, size, colour etc. Tag Editor is clearly not WYSIWYG! If you mean that your translated file in Word/Excel or whatever has changed, then I'm afraid I can't help on that one. | | | Albana Dhimitri Greece Local time: 22:56 Greek to Albanian + ... Thanks Stanislav and Emma, I just saved the part I have finished translating so far (as target text) and Yes!, everything is just fine with the style and size of the letters. As you pointed out, it the tags that define the font in the target version. I really appreciate your help and hope I can be of help to you some time. Thank you! Happy translations!
