Source text - English Manager and Supervisor Training is a three day course which examines in depth why people behave in a particular way. We are all driven by behavioural triggers which have soon, certain and positive outcomes, and we down play those triggers which have delayed, uncertain and negative consequences. If we can truly understand these triggers we are better placed to have an impact on behaviours in a positive way so that we can improve our HSE performance. The course also provides strategies for behavioural interventions and communications which are non - aggressive and non - threatening. The three day course also incorporates exercises and workshops which illustrate the key learning points and demonstrates to participants how effective the skills and techniques can be.
Translation - Portuguese O Treinamento de Gerentes e Supervisores é um curso de três dias no qual se examina, em detalhes, por que as pessoas se comportam de uma determinada maneira. Somos todos influenciados por gatilhos comportamentais que nos trazem resultados rápidos, certos e positivos. Subestimamos os gatilhos que apresentam conseqüências tardias, incertas e negativas. Se pudermos realmente compreender tais gatilhos, estaremos em melhores condições de exercer um impacto sobre os comportamentos de uma forma positiva, e, assim, melhorar o nosso desempenho em Saúde, Segurança e Meio Ambiente (HSE). O curso também oferece estratégias para intervenções e comunicações comportamentais não agressivas e não ameaçadoras. O curso, com duração de três dias, também incorpora exercícios e oficinas que ilustram os principais pontos de aprendizado, demonstrando aos participantes como habilidades e técnicas podem ser eficazes.

Formei-me em engenharia
civil em 1981 e obtive o mestrado em engenharia ambiental em 2003 com o foco na
indústria de petróleo e gás, tendo alguns trabalhos científicos publicados
internacionalmente (Journal of Costal Research, International Conference
Mangrove, Fifth International Conference on Hydroinformatics). Nativo do
Brasil, tenho feito traduções para o para o par inglês>português Brasil
desde 1997, quando assinei um contrato de um ano com uma das maiores
siderúrgicas aqui no Brasil. Daí em diante, tenho realizado traduções para
outras importantes empresas no Brasil e no mundo, principalmente nas
áreas de: engenharia, construção civil, mineração, siderurgia, petróleo e gás,
SMS (Saúde, Segurança e Meio Ambiente), meio ambiente, licenciamento ambiental,
manuais e contratos. Tenho atualmente procurado aprimorar minhas habilidades
nessa atividade, investindo em ferramentas de suporte a traduções e estudando
os principais campos técnicos acima. Em dezembro de 2021, tornei-me parceiro
da Kennis Translations BV, uma agência de tradução sediada nos Países Baixos,
com 21 anos de atuação no mercado de traduções, cobrindo 16 idiomas, visando
dar maior suporte a clientes no âmbito internacional.

English Version
I graduated in Civil Engineering in 1981, and achieved a Master's Degree
in Environmental Engineering in 2003 focused on the Oil & Gas Industry,
having some papers internationally published (Journal of Costal Research,
International Conference Mangrove, Fifth International Conference on
Hydroinformatics). Being a Brazilian Portuguese native speaker, I have been
doing translation works for the pair English>Portuguese Brazil since 1997, when I signed a one-year
contract with one major steelmaking company here in Brazil. From then on, I
have been doing translations for important companies in Brazil and around the
world, mainly in the following fields: Engineering, Construction, Mining,
Steelmaking, Oil & Gas, QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety and Environment),
Environment, Environmental Permitting. I am currently trying to improve my
skills in translating by both investing in translation supporting tools and
studying the main technical fields above. In December 2021 I became a partner
with Kennis Translations BV, a translation agency based in The Netherlands, with
21 years in the translation business, covering 16 languages, so that I am able
to provide a better support for clients internationally.
