I have been working as translator/interpreter for 30 years. I started my professional career with teaching in secondary schools, after a few years I changed for medical university. After 4 years there I took a job of interpreter/translator in one of the biggest Polish banks, I had been working for it for nearly five years, was engaged in the bank's computerisation, privatisation, and major change in procedures. I left the bank to follow a freelancer's career, which I have been successfully pursuing since then. I do simultaneous interpretation at specialist conferences, work for clients during their projects or study tours (sometimes extended to several weeks/ months), I also do provide translation services and proofreading from home. The customers are satisfied, tell each other about the good service they receive, so I have had no need for advertising my services, over the years.
I like travelling, always do my best to be thoroughly prepared for the work in a specialist field.
I am married, with two children, love improvised music and outdoor activities in my free time, including hiking in the mountains. |
