Source text - French Le gouvernement annonce ce lundi 12/11/2012 que les auto-entrepreneurs sont exonérés pour les 4 premières années d'activité. La demande de la FEDAE de revoir et d'amender le mode de calcul parfois injuste de cette taxe a été entendue !
Ainsi, en 2012, pas un seul auto-entrepreneur de France ne paiera de CFE. Ceux qui ont déjà reçu un courrier avec une CFE non nulle à payer doivent renvoyer un courrier de demande d'exonération.
En pleine période de crise économique généralisée, des individus, des hommes, des femmes, des étudiants, des retraités, des salariés, des demandeurs d'emploi, des fonctionnaires... ont relevé le défi de la construction d'une nouvelle croissance.
Translation - English The government is announcing, this Monday 12th November 2012, that self employed sole traders are exempt (from paying business tax) during the first four years of trading. Demands by the FEDAE that the methods of calculating this tax, which are sometimes unfair, should be further examined and amended, have been heard!
Furthermore, in 2012, no self employed sole trader will pay CFE. Anyone who has already received a bill for payment of CFE should return it with a letter requesting exhonneration from payment.
In the midst of widespread economic crisis, people, men, women, students, pensioners, employees, the unemployed, officials... have taken up the challenge of generating new growth.

I have spent 18 years living and working in France. As a result I have an excellent working knowledge of French at all levels, from street language and slang, to the highest register of formal French.
I have set up and run two small businesses in France, dealing with all of the associated bureaucracy, in French, and so have a thourough understanding of the language of officialdom, taxation, health cover and health care, insurance, social services etc.
Working in Internet commerce, I also have a background in copywriting in both English and French. I am used to working on computer operating systems in French and most of my computer software is in French, so I am familiar and comfortable translating IT related material.
I have a good oversight of the French educational system, having put both of my children through school in France from "Maternelle" to "Lycée".
