The Association of Police and Court Interpreters is a professional association of qualified and experienced interpreters working within the Criminal Justice System which represents members' interests to work providers and government. We are a member of the European Legal Interpreters and Translators Association (EULITA) as well as the Fédération Internationale des Traducteurs (FIT).
One of our objects is to raise standards in the interpreting profession and to that end we are currently engaged in a campaign to oppose the Ministry of Justice outsourcing of interpreting across the justice sector under the Framework Agreement.
We also operate a call centre, known as APCI Response, which is used by the Courts and police and other work providers to contact interpreters. |
