I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Arabic Language and Literature, and I spent my last year as an undergraduate studying Arabic in Syria. While there, I interned for Damascus University, where I translated cooperation agreements that the university entered into with foreign institutions. I have also interned at the United Nations, where I researched the penal codes of different Arab nations. These laws were often written in Arabic, and I had to summarize selected portions of these codes in English. For the last eight months, I have worked as an Arabic-English medical interpreter.
I also hold an undergraduate degree in Finance, and I studied law for one year at Cornell Law School. My familiarity with those subjects allows me to translate documents that include financial, legal, and medical terminology.
